Frankie has made incredible progress during her time in safehouse care. She is a bird with strong opinions, clear boundaries, and a wonderfully quirky personality that shines through more each day.

Handling & Temperament

Frankie does not generally like being touched and will communicate this clearly. However, on her own terms, she occasionally enjoys a gentle head rub. When she wants affection, she will place her beak against the cage bars and lower her head—her way of saying she’s ready for a little fuss.

She is slowly learning to trust humans and is beginning to understand that people can be friends. With the right person—someone patient, calm, and respectful of her boundaries—Frankie has every potential to continue blossoming.

Diet & Eating Habits

Frankie is a very enthusiastic eater. She enjoys a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and seeds. Food is one of her biggest motivators, and she’s always keen to try what’s offered.

Her drinking habits are a joy to watch—she dips her whole beak into the bowl, throws her head back dramatically, and often sings or repeats little sounds while she drinks.

Daily Behaviour

• In the mornings, Frankie may have a bit of a shout—sometimes for food, sometimes just for a chat.

• She loves coming out of her cage and prefers to perch on top, watching the world go by.

• She is curious, observant, and becoming more confident each day.

Progress & Suitability

Frankie is on a gentle journey of learning to trust again. She needs a home that understands:

• Respecting her boundaries is essential

• Trust takes time, but the rewards are worth it

• She communicates clearly and honestly

• She thrives with routine, patience, and positive interaction

With the right person, Frankie will continue to grow, and physical contact may become something she accepts more readily in the future.
