Description: Meet Zuri – a charismatic and chatty parrot with a huge personality! Zuri is full of phrases like “are you alright there?”, “hello”, “what you doing”, and what sounds like “you’re a lucky duck”, often accompanied by cheerful whistles and laughter—especially while waiting for his breakfast chop.

Zuri loves his veggies—sweetcorn, chickpeas, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, and more—and prefers green, crunchy fruits like grapes, apples, and just-ripe bananas. He’s not big on seeds, as his fresh chop is his favorite.

He enjoys head scritches from his current male caregiver and loves spending time out of his cage, usually just sitting happily on top of it. He doesn’t wander and thrives with as much out-of-cage time as possible. While he doesn’t step up, he can be gently handled by someone confident and calm.

Zuri does have some sensitivities: he can be cage-protective and is terrified of the hoover. It’s very important he’s never around it while out of his cage—it’s a genuine trauma trigger for him.

His ideal home is with someone experienced, confident, and patient—someone who understands and respects his boundaries. His current cage must go with him, as it’s his safe space.

Zuri is a much-loved companion who deserves a home where he can continue to thrive and be himself.
