Description: Spike is a sweet and affectionate conure who has settled well into foster care. He loves human companionship and will happily push his head into your hand for scratches or perch on your shoulder whenever he gets the chance. Spike is eating and drinking well and appears to be in good health, aside from a few stress lines on his feathers from before his arrival.
He can be a little needy and shows some signs of separation anxiety, so work is being done to help him become more confident when left alone. He does not appear to have a preference for men or women and has been friendly and affectionate with everyone he has met so far.
Spike enjoys being around other birds and gets along well with Morris, often exchanging whistles, although he can be a little jealous at times. Once familiar with his surroundings, he is a confident flyer and will happily follow his favorite person from room to room. Spike is a loving, engaging companion who should settle beautifully into the right forever home.
