Description: 19-Year-Old African Grey
Gorgeous is a lovely 19-year-old African Grey who enjoys chatting away, making answerphone noises and beeping sounds. Having previously lived as the only parrot in the home, she has adapted well to life with other birds.
Gorgeous is comfortable in a home with dogs and loves sitting in her cage by the door in the sunshine, watching the world go by. One of her favourite things is a good bath or spray down.
She is a quiet, nervous girl who will need a patient and understanding home. Gorgeous appears to prefer men and would benefit from having a male as her main carer. She will often greet you with an “Alright, Gorge?” when you enter the room.
Having always been a cage bird, Gorgeous has never been handled outside of her cage and will need plenty of time to build trust. When she feels comfortable, she’ll let you know she’s ready for a head scratch by gently pressing her head against the bars.
Gorgeous is looking for a calm, experienced home where she can build a special bond at her own pace.
