Description: Lucky arrived at his safe house just three weeks ago, and the progress he’s made since then has been amazing.
He’s quite cage protective and hadn’t been out of his cage in years, so we’ve been focusing on building trust and showing him that the world outside isn’t so scary.
He doesn’t step up yet, but we’re working on it. He loves saying hello and whistles all sorts of different tunes. He’s even started copying my children—he now shouts “Mum!” 🤣
Lucky absolutely loves having his head scratched and is now comfortable with us putting our hand into his cage to give him some fuss.
He came to us on a poor diet, but he’s now transitioned to a healthier one. While he’s still not keen on fruit and veg, we’re continuing to introduce them slowly.
Due to his lack of time outside the cage, his balance isn’t the best and it’s impacted his confidence, so we’re encouraging him out every few days to help build strength and trust.
His assessment is ongoing, and we’ll share another update very soon!
