Description: Alfie is a sweet-natured Orange-Winged Amazon looking for a confident and patient new home. He enjoys human company and will happily come out of his cage to sit with his person, though he isn’t much of a flyer. Alfie tends to prefer ladies and forms close bonds once he feels comfortable.
Alfie would benefit from an environment where he has access to natural light and stimulation—he has previously enjoyed an aviary setup and is known to tap at windows, suggesting he misses that outdoor connection. A home with an aviary or similar safe space would be a big plus for him.
He is currently on a healthy diet, enjoying fresh fruit and vegetable chop. One important quirk—Alfie strongly dislikes crisps being eaten around him and will become very vocal if he sees them, so this is best avoided in his presence!
Alfie communicates clearly and has not shown aggression. If he doesn’t want attention, he will let you know by moving away or giving a loud squawk rather than biting. With patience and understanding, he quickly builds trust—he even learned to enjoy belly rubs within just a couple of days.
He now enjoys showers as part of his routine, although these are best done in a travel cage where he feels secure. Once settled, he relaxes and is content.
Alfie is a happy, affectionate boy who will thrive with someone confident, attentive, and willing to give him the time and love he deserves.
