ASP ref: ASP988

Name: Charlie

Species: African Grey Parrot

Description: Charlie is around 22 years old so in his prime!

He came to his safehouse through no fault of his own. When he got here he was underweight and unfortunately we had to get rid of his cage as it was dangerous for him.

He settled in straight away and loves talking with my female African grey. Charlie is a right character and his favorite toy is his swing which I don’t know how he stays on as he goes that high on it.

He has a large vocabulary including “come on England, Charlie on repeat, police car noise and some words I can’t put down!

He loves his food, including chop. He will ask for cucumber but won’t eat it! Unfortunately, he has a habit of emptying his food dish which we are working on to stop so his new forever family needs to keep on top of this so he doesn’t lose the weight he has gained.

Charlie has started to let his safehouse mum stroke him on the beak and head but he’s not to keen on his safehouse dad doing it. He steps up out of his cage and will sit quite happily on your shoulder. We were told he couldn’t fly but he can! He just needs to get his strength back in his wings to be perfect.

He is a wonderful boy and I will miss him making me laugh every day.
