Hello, my name is Jakey, and I’m finally ready to find a forever home of my very own. I want to be upfront from the start — I’m not tame, and trust is something I struggle with. But if you can offer me patience, understanding, and time, I promise I’ll show you just how much love I have to give.

I’m happiest when there’s music playing. I absolutely love to dance, even if my safehouse mum and dad can’t keep up with my moves. They try… but honestly, it’s a bit embarrassing.

Since arriving here, I’ve done really well switching to a pellet and veg diet, and I adore almonds as a special treat. Don’t worry — I’ll make it very clear when I want one.

I enjoy coming out to sit on my cage, but I don’t wander far. I’m not comfortable being handled, so my new family will need to respect that and be prepared to work at my pace. I’d do best in a home with calm, steady bird companions — I really don’t like flighty or overly energetic birds.

I’m very much a project bird, but one with so much potential. I’m hoping someone out there will see past my worries and give me the chance to grow, trust, and thrive.
