Description: Hi, my name’s Jaffa and I am a very laid back guy. I am generally quiet but I do enjoy a conversation now and again. I can say my own name, wolf whistle, say “come on then” and ask “what are you doing?”
I love a nap and will happily sit on top of my cage for hours but I don’t currently fly. I’ve tried it twice at my safe house but I was very out of breath! I am currently learning to play with my new toys and enjoying sampling new vegetables.
I don’t seem to have a gender preference and will sometimes accept head scritches, you can tell from my body language if I want them or not.
My SH parents have other, smaller parrots who I mostly ignore but sometimes their constant noise makes me grumpy and I make a growly noise. I do also make an alarm call if I am unsure about someone entering my cage space, but I have never attacked.
My SH mum is trying to get me to eat some pellets and not just seed but I’m not a fan. I do like the pepper, cucumber and broccoli she’s introduced me to though. Overall I am a happy, contented bird who can be left if you need to go to work but I still need someone willing to put in time to help me improve my health and spread my wings
