Description:  Hector is a very placid and loving 8 year old, male, yellow fronted Amazon looking for a female carer. In his safehouse, he has proven quite the comedian, loves to make you laugh and is starting to show his true personality. His vocabulary is impressive too. Hector is brilliant with other birds; respects their space, and would do well in a home with other birds for company. He’s currently safehousing with a macaw, African grey and ringneck. Hector has recently been introduced to a young child (6 years old) and behaves like a gentleman, even taking treats from him. This boy has brilliant flying skills and escaped his old home. His new owner will need to be extremely vigilant, as he likes to fly to find you, no matter where you are in the house! Ideally, Hector would do well in a home with an aviary. He loves the outdoors and is his most content sat in the sun. He doesn’t like being locked in his cage so would benefit from a home where he’s out all day with you. He loves nothing more to sit on your shoulder or sit on the sofa with you on an evening.Currently, hes eating a mix of harrisons and psittacus pellets. Loves walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, nutriberries, blueberries and grapes. We are introducing vegetables and so far he’s preferred crunchy raw food. His new home will need to persist with broadening his very fussy pallet.
