Description: Merlin is a 12 year old male Yellow Crowned Amazon. His late owner sadly passed away this year and he is now looking for his forever home. He loves to whistle and listen to music.
Merlin will love someone to spend time with him during the day ideally a male carer, although he has been able to relax around me. Merlin is new to other birds and has taken to being around them well however I do not think this is a must have in order for him to thrive.
He loves to eat Tidy Mix but has taken well to eating Harrisons pellets here. He goes to sleep with his cage covered in the evenings very well. Merlin finds his cage is his safe space and he will happily take himself in and out as he pleases during the day.
Merlin is a great character, like all Amazons he does have is moods and will make clear when he is okay with being interacted with. Like a cat I think it is best to let him decide when to come to you.
Overall a lovely companion and I look forward to seeing him thrive in his new forever home.
