Description: Scarlett is a 20 Year Old, Female African Grey.  Scarlett definitely prefers females, but will allow a male to stroke her beak but only when she is in her cage.  Scarlett loves playing her bells. She loves to talk and copy what you say. She loves to whistle half a pound of tuppenny rice all the way through. Scarlett knows looks of words, will say good bye when you go out and night night at bedtime. She is a sweet girl. I think being in a home where she is the only parrot  would be better for her. She loves to fly around. She enjoys chewy wood like it’s going out of fashion. So mind your wood around the house. Scarlett does listen when you tell her things but can be cheeky sometimes but that’s African greys for you. Scarlett doesn’t like water really her idea of a bath is just getting her feet wet, so spraying her in her cage is best, though she will go for the tip of the bottle. She can be your best friend and liked to do house work with me but occasionally can be quite jumpy. Scarlett is on complete parrot pellets, though she does like seeds still but only once a month. She loves to having  whole walnut where she pulls the nut apart
