Dylan is a stunning Blue and Gold Macaw with a gentle soul and the sweetest voice you’ll ever hear. This beautiful boy is looking for a calm, quiet home where he can feel safe, take things at his own pace, and build trust with a patient companion.
Dylan is a bit nervous by nature—he’s currently settled with his Safehouse dad, but he’s still wary of strangers. He doesn’t seek out conflict and will usually just try to move away if he’s uncomfortable. He may nip if pushed too far, but only when he’s feeling really unsure.
Once he’s comfortable, Dylan loves to chat in his soft, endearing voice. He says:
* “Hello”
* “Bye bye”
* “Goodbye”
* “Good boy”
He’ll absolutely melt your heart when you hear him speak.
Food-wise, Dylan is a fruit lover through and through, and while he’s not the biggest fan of veggies, he’ll do anything for a walnut—his ultimate treat! When he first arrived, he went mad for pellets, but now he’s turned his beak up at them. His future family will need to work patiently to reintroduce a balanced, pellet-based diet.
Dylan would thrive in a home with a calm atmosphere and a person who understands macaws and is willing to take the time to build trust. With love and consistency, Dylan has so much affection and companionship to offer.
