Name: Father Ted (aka Teddy)

Species: Alexandrine Parrot Father Ted is a charming 23-year-old Alexandrine Parrot who came into the charity through no fault of his own. As he’s settled in, he’s shown his playful side and braveness with his SH mum.

Personality: Teddy loves gentle toe strokes through the bars, as long as they’re done slowly. He enjoys hanging upside down in his cage, doing his “Batman” impression, and dancing while upside down—activating his “silly mode.”

Noise Level: Although generally quiet, Teddy makes occasional noises and squeaks.

Interactions: He isn’t fond of the larger blue and gold birds, which scare him, causing him to flap around and panic. However, he’s more comfortable around smaller birds. Teddy doesn’t have a preference for male or female carers; he just needs someone patient and understanding. Behavior: Teddy loves being spoken to and will often do his “happy wings” when people enter the room. He’s quite a gentleman, taking treats politely and enjoying his SH mum’s company.

Ideal Home: Father Ted is looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to grow braver and enjoy his playful antics. He would thrive in an environment where he can be spoken to and given the time and patience to adjust to his new surroundings.
