Charlie is a 21-year-old Yellow-Fronted Amazon with a whole lot of personality and even more love to give! While he may be blind in one eye, don’t let that fool you—nothing holds this boy back from living life to the fullest.
Charlie is an absolute sweetheart who loves nothing more than shoulder time and cuddles. He’ll happily snuggle up while you give him some love—just be sure to approach from his good side, as coming from his blind side can startle him (and he might give a little nip, as his carer can tell you!).
This clever guy is a talker—he says all sorts of phrases, some crystal clear and others a mystery, but always entertaining. He’ll also definitely let you know when he wants out of his cage (which is often!), because Charlie loves his freedom and interaction.
He’s currently transitioning from a seed diet to a healthier pellet one, and he’s already a big fan of fresh fruit and veg. With a bit of patience and encouragement, Charlie is well on his way to a balanced diet.
Charlie is looking for a loving home that will:
Give him plenty of out-of-cage time.
Be mindful of his blind side.
Enjoy having a talkative, affectionate parrot companion.
Help him continue his journey to a healthier diet.
