Description: Socs is a chatty, comical African Grey who will keep you endlessly entertained with his huge vocabulary and quirky sounds (from “Hello” and “What’s that?” to dog barks, sirens, sneezes, and even loud belches!). He loves to make his presence known, especially if you leave the room — so be prepared for plenty of noise and laughter.
He would best suit a home-working or retired person who can give him plenty of company and daytime freedom. Due to his volume, he’s not suited to flats or homes with thin walls.
Socs
*Sleeps quietly overnight (no cover needed).
*Enjoys interacting with older children from the safety of his cage.
*Comfortable around dogs while he’s safely in his cage — because we don’t mix fur and feathers!
*Loves head scratches, shredding toys, corn on the cob, peas, sweetcorn, blueberries, and grapes (his favourite treat!).
*Not a fan of broccoli, peppers, banana, or boiled egg.
Socs is starting to learn “step up” with clicker training and grape rewards, and he’s not cage-aggressive — though he can take a little coaxing to go back in when he’s enjoying his freedom.
