She’s a veggie lover at heart, still warming up to fruit, and making great progress with her shower routine. Each day, she grows more confident, and she’s just begun to explore the joy of toys—especially cardboard boxes, which she adores!
Freedom & Curiosity Susie absolutely loves being out of her cage and is happiest when she’s free to roam and observe. She’s a confident flyer and will follow you around the house, curious to see what you’re up to. Whether you’re tidying up or relaxing, she’s content just being nearby, soaking in the moment.
Trust Takes Time, But It’s Worth It. Susie may take a little while to warm up to new people, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll happily step up and sit with you for hours, enjoying cuddles and gentle head scratches. She’s especially fond of men and has a soft spot for respectful young people. She’s even taken treats from a kind-hearted 6-year-old granddaughter!
Little Luxuries Her favorite treat? Walnuts in the shell! Watching her work them open is a joy in itself.
Susie’s Ideal Home: She’s looking for a calm, loving environment with someone who understands macaws and is willing to give her the time and space to continue blossoming. Her gentle nature and growing confidence make her a truly special companion.
