Hi there, I’m Nelson! I’m a very good boy who loves to spend time outside my cage, especially sitting on the door to watch everything around me. I’m quite independent but not so good about going back to my cage—unless there’s a treat waiting for me inside, of course!

I love to sing, and my favorite song is the Flintstones theme – but I like to change the lyrics to “Nelson meet the Nelson!” I’m also a chatterbox and can say quite a few words,
“Hello”
“You alright boy?” (with a cheeky Northern accent!)
“Night night Nelson”
“Give me kiss… good boy!”
“Come on Nelson… gentle.”

I’m super quiet at night—just cover me up, and I’ll sleep soundly until morning.

Food-wise, I love seeds (they’re my favorite!) but I’m also learning to eat pellets—I even eat a couple of them every day. My favorite treats are grapes, banana, and toast, but don’t let me near your cup of tea—I’ll try to drink it!

I’m working on learning to step up—getting better every day, but I’ll only do it if I want to go somewhere, like to get my breakfast with my safe house mum. I’m comfortable around men and even dogs, so I get along with just about everyone!
Obviously I must be in my cage if there are furry pets about.
