Description: Meet Zippo, a beautiful female African Grey, approximately 22 years old, with a big personality and an impressive vocabulary.
Zippo enjoys spending time out of her cage, happily exploring her surroundings at her own pace. She absolutely loves her food and is incredibly talkative — she swears like a sailor and chats constantly! Some of her favorite phrases include “won’t be long,” “do you want a drink,” and “are we going to bed?” — along with many more that keep you entertained throughout the day.
Zippo has laid eggs in a previous home, which is important for any potential adopter to be aware of. Because of this, her new home will need to be willing to research and understand hormones, recognize behavioral changes linked to egg laying, and provide an appropriate, balanced diet to support her health and wellbeing.
She is a confident, characterful parrot who enjoys interaction on her terms. Zippo will allow gentle strokes with feet when she feels comfortable but is currently not keen on hands. With time, patience, trust and confidence, this may improve in the right home.
