Zippo is a stunning African Grey girl who has been settling wonderfully into her safehouse. She’s revealing herself to be a sweet, curious, and intelligent companion who thrives on routine and gentle interaction.
Diet & Treats
Zippo adores her fresh vegetables and has now successfully transitioned onto pellets — a fantastic step for her long‑term health.
💛 Affection & Bonding
She is a huge fan of head scratches and, once she trusts you, loves nothing more than sitting quietly on your knee. Zippo has a clear preference for female caregivers and builds strong bonds with them.
🚶♀️ Out‑of‑Cage Adventures
During her free-roam time, Zippo enjoys exploring the floor and investigating her surroundings at her own pace.
🛑 Behaviour Notes
Zippo can show typical cage‑defensive behaviour around men and may become aggressive if they attempt to change her food or water bowls. However, she also has a gentle side — she will happily take treats from men and will bow her head for a stroke while inside her cage.
🧹 Household Sensitivities
Zippo is not a fan of the hoover. Her safehouse is currently working on desensitisation training to help her feel more confident around it.
🐕 Other Pets
Zippo is not comfortable around dogs and will need a dog‑free home.
