About Jessie

Jessie is an incredibly clever and charismatic Blue & Gold Macaw who loves being out of her cage and involved in everything happening around her. She thrives on attention and will happily show off her impressive wingspan, especially if she knows you have a treat. She even offers a high‑five, which is one of her favourite tricks.

She enjoys being around other birds, though she does have a habit of flying over to their cages, so supervision is important. Jessie is a confident girl who loves to be part of the action.

Diet

Jessie is a great eater and enjoys:

• Chop

• Pellets

• Seeds

She maintains a healthy appetite and responds well to food‑based training.

Speech & Sounds

Jessie is an amazing talker with a wide vocabulary and plenty of personality. Some of her favourite words and sounds include:

• “Quack quack”

• “Miaow”

• “Woof woof”

• “Apple”

• “Banana”

• “Orange”

She will tell you when she’s ready for bed and cheerfully say “bye bye” when you’re heading out. She loves interacting vocally and will chat away throughout the day.

Temperament & Behaviour

• Very clever and enjoys learning tricks

• Loves being the centre of attention

• Confident and social

• Prefers female carers but is fine with males

• Good around other birds, though she may fly to their cages

• Enjoys out‑of‑cage time and being part of the household routine

Ideal Home

Jessie will be best suited to someone with previous macaw experience. She is a bright, energetic girl who needs a carer who understands macaw behaviour, enrichment, and boundaries. With the right person, Jessie will flourish and continue to show off her wonderful personality and intelligence.
