Description: Chelsea is a 32‑year‑old Blue & Gold Macaw with a big personality and plenty of character. As an older macaw, he carries himself with confidence and maturity, and he enjoys forming strong bonds with the people he trusts. Chelsea enjoys a balanced routine that gives him plenty of freedom. He is only caged overnight and spends his days both indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather and his chosen humans. He thrives on space, movement, and being part of daily life, so a home that can continue offering this level of freedom is essential. He enjoys being sprayed with lukewarm water every couple of days, which keeps his feathers in great condition and is part of his regular care routine. Chelsea has grown up around children and is comfortable with them as long as they teenager age as Chelsea isn’t a fan of small children, making him well‑suited to a family environment as long as interactions are supervised and respectful.
Special Requirement
Chelsea has a long and meaningful bond with his previous owner. It is very important that his new home allows visits when his old owner is in the country, as maintaining this connection is part of Chelsea’s emotional wellbeing. Any potential adopter must be willing to honour this arrangement.
