Charlie is being adopted
ASP ref: ASP864
Name: Charlie
Species: African Grey Parrot
Description: Hi my name is Charlie,I used to live in Worthing on a lovely street where at the end you could see the Sea. My past owner was a lovely man who had me for 8 years. Originally I was owned by an elderly lady who sadly passed away.
I have bitten my previous owner a couple of times but I have never shown any aggression so far towards my safehouse carer. I think I may prefer women over men but I may be inclined to go to both. I have been exposed to young children, mainly in safehouse and I’m not quite sure of them but I stay close to the adult and like my personal space being respected. I was on a seed mix diet but recently I have had a couple of harrisons pellets in my food to try too. I love fruit apples oranges. I don’t fly very well but I can travel short distances. I don’t bite when stepping up only beak, I enjoy sitting on the door of my cage but as its very narrow my safehouse has encouraged using the stand. I am very reserved and quiet so not much of a talker. I do popping sounds which are sweet and over time I may say more. I made a little girl laugh making water noises as she drank her drink. I do need a period of time to settle in as I am very timid at first and need lots of reassurance. I have my own lovely travel cage. My safehouse will really miss me but there are already 2 boys here so I can’t mix or be out with them at the same time. I am a 20 year old female. In my life I have laid in total 6 eggs. I don’t have a leg ring. I am fearful of sticks. Considering how sort of a time I have been in safehouse,I think I am a very forgiving African Grey, most would take your finger off! I am very sweet and can’t wait to find my forever home. I was an only bird previously but I have been exposed to other parrots of all sizes, I have shown no aggression just at first I was a bit fearful, now I love to make my water and popping noises with the other African Greys. If you can give me the time and a loving home with lots of cuddles attention and affection, I am sure that I will thrive!
Looking forward to new beginnings!
